The 8th edition of the GSCR
On May 25, it was time again for the Geevers Special Car Rally. And this year, it was combined with the Geevers Bike Rally. It was a day full of excitement, movement, familiar faces, and fun! A wonderful field of classic and special cars and delicious food, drinks, and music everywhere.
This year, more than 200 enthusiastic customers participated with 100 beautiful, special, and/or original cars. No fewer than 15 enthusiastic customers joined us on their bikes to complete a beautiful route.
At 8:45 a.m., the first customers arrived at Geevers' headquarters in Veldhoven. Once everyone had enjoyed a piece of cake and a good cup of coffee and collected their rally badge with all the accessories or put on their cycling gear, the rally got underway. The rally drivers received a route book and the starting signal was given!
While the rally drivers continued on their way to Best for a short pit stop, the cyclists set off on a route of about 40 kilometers to lunch.
After some fruit, a juice, and a quick game, the route continued towards Helmond, where lunch was waiting at De Cacaofabriek. Here, the rally drivers and cyclists enjoyed a delicious lunch and pleasant company. After lunch, the Car Rally continued towards Maarheeze, the last pit stop. In the meantime, the cyclists started the second and final part of the route, back towards Geevers.
Around 4:00 p.m., the first car finished at Geevers and the cyclists also returned to the location. They were able to freshen up and change so that the evening could begin at 5:00 p.m. Everyone enjoyed the various food trucks while listening to live music. In between, the award ceremony for the highest-scoring teams took place, as it does every year. A consolation prize and an originality prize were also awarded.
All in all, it was a very successful day. It was great to be able to speak to our customers in person again.
